2022-23 enrolling
Thanks to our donors, we have a newly leased building! CORE will thrive as we enroll students for the 22-23 school year. The building is located at 2221 and 2223 W. Colchester Dr. Anaheim, CA 92804

New Site Director
Welcome our new Site Director! We all know and love Mrs. Salwa Ziadeh, our religious studies director. In her new position as Site Director Mrs. Salwa is passionate about our mission and dedicated to improving the quality of programs we provide to our community.
CORE's activities
Our new Sunday school program at CORE will teach students Qur'an, Arabic, and Islamiat under the leadership of Mrs. Salwa Ziadeh.
Because of your gifts, CORE provided an art activity and pizza lunch for newly arrived Afghan refugee children at a summer picnic organized by volunteer Afghan parent Ateeq Zazai and his wife Arzoo.
All thanks to your generosity, CORE was able to distribute Eid clothes to students and their families at the Eid clothes drive organized by volunteer Fozia Moosani.

We’ve partnered with a charter school! CORE offers “track A” K-12 charter education. All for the benefit of our students, insha’Allah!

Character/Youth Development activities will be a part of CORE's daily schedule from 1:30-2:30 PM
Focus this year will be on character development, English Language Development, and hands-on STEM activities
The summer program ended well with a fun field trip to the aquarium funded by Art and Wilderness Institute
CORE students learned from and had fun with a self-defense class taught by Yasmeen Cabrer (volunteer Girl Scout)

KEEP YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT
Your donations help CORE provide professional development and training to our hard-working faculty in July. Currently, our teachers are busy preparing for the upcoming school year which begins on July 26th, 2022 and ends on May 25th, 2023.
Before we begin, students will be given diagnostic placement tests to determine their level of English profiency. Our staff then meets every student at their level and helps them to improve through personalized direct instruction.

If you enjoyed our events this month, don’t forget to share them with others who may also derive benefit, and find all of our videos on our YouTube channel.

Please keep CORE’s students in your prayers and we hope you will continue to support our mission as we help break the poverty cycle for refugee and low-income students through quality education and character development.

With Gratitude,
The CORE Team
